A good friend of mine recently started adapting/animating the Red Hook Darkest Dungeon comics, trying to keep it stylized. I think this is a very cool idea, since the game and its lore have won a large circle of fans.

My hands are not sharpened for this, but at least somehow I can make a contribution. Each of your news on VK, GIF in the community on Steam and other sources will have one more approval. Your work really caught my attention, but not only me.
And the last question. There is a user in the workshop on Steam under the nickname Marvin Seo. He seemed to take part in balancing the last addition, but that’s not the point. The main thing is that he has already made 5 mods with unofficial characters, occupying top places in the list of mods. Among other things, each of the characters has their own comic book, similar in style to the developers!
I know that when the animation of Leper’s comic ends, you won’t end up with fans) How do you like the idea of animating next not the official comic of the creators, but one of his works? It’s an adventure, but it’s an opportunity to enlist the help of the most capable hands in this direction)))

Regarding Marvin Seo and his characters, as I already said, if the project turns out to be successful and I receive approval from the developers, then I will first film those characters that are canon of the game, including even the bosses. I more or less understand their motivation and the role they play in it. If the project does not work out or receives negative criticism from the developers, then completely different projects await me, which I intend to work on and in which I am no less interested. + I have my own projects and ideas that I would also like to implement. In general, the public space will not be empty in any case. 🙂

1) There is a possibility that the developers may somehow speak negatively about the project. I tried to somehow influence them through Twitter, but either they are too busy with their new project, or they do not believe that this project will be completed and released (or I should have written directly to a certain developer, but did not want to impose myself until I finished the work). If the developers are against it, this comic will be the end of my project. One way or another, thanks to this activity, other people offer me cooperation. I would also be glad if a couple of extra hands appeared on my team.
2) I regularly watch playthroughs of the game on the Twitch channel BaerTaffy, and one day the question was raised that it would be great if there was an animated series on the theme of DD. This gave me this idea. I started filming comics to develop the skill and habit of drawing style, as I was preparing myself for a long time working on videos. I chose Leper first because I had everything to get into this character. I read about lepers and leprosy, read the story of Bolwin IV of Jerusalem and watched the movie "Kingdom of Heaven" just because of him. It was really very interesting and sincere. (As for its mechanics in the game, BaerTaffy regularly uses it, and does a pretty good job with it)
3) Until I know how this project will pan out after Leper, there is no clear plan for further work. As I wrote earlier, his life partly depends on the developers too. In general, it will be seen. 🙂

A 3rd scene from the comic was added, it was reworked many times (the camera movement was redone several times, and at the same time the animation itself until the final version was satisfactory). They will work on connecting scenes that are not in the comic, but they are needed so that there is logic in these frames. This may also take some time. More details in the group
