Information about social strategy Prime World we are used to receiving in small portions. For two years now, the developers have been giving us new details about once every six months. We chew them, try to taste something, and, seemingly catching the peculiarity of the treat, we understand that we need more, and more, and more. And at the 2011 CWI the President Nival and general producer of the project Sergei Orlovsky presented us with an almost finished dish, dotting all the i’s. Like the man who won the tournament Prime World two cases of beer, I have the following to tell you..
Facebook* Connect directly to the castle
Within the framework of the CWI 2011 chapter Nival again gave a lecture in which he talked about what it would be like Prime World. As the company’s PR manager promised us Maxim Fomichev, the presentation was interesting, and the information was exclusive, not previously published anywhere.
In the very near future, as it turned out, player authorization will be carried out through Facebook Connect, which is not surprising, because Prime World positioned as a social strategy. Click Facebook Connect, enter your data (if you are not yet registered on the social network, you should do so) – and voila, we are in the castle. Assorted factory houses spin, twirl, and make sounds. But all of them have already been built before us. If you are just starting out, then in front of you will be just an empty castle that will need to be equipped to your liking. Facebook is stated by the developers as the main way to enter the game, however, according to their assurances, it will not be the only one.
IN Prime World 7 types of resources are available that can be extracted using special buildings. Each faction will have two unique types of raw materials – for the Adornians it is silk and rubber, for the Dokts it is wood and ore. The rest of the resources are the same – food, population, prime pearls, silver and gold.
You can get gold in two ways: invest real money or buy it on the exchange. And if everything is clear with the first one, then the stock exchange is a much more interesting tool. On it you can exchange silver for gold at a free rate. We exhibit lots, offer our own exchange rates, enter into the fight against dumping competitors, make money – it’s entertaining, profitable, exciting. In fact, the exchange is a clever way to combat inflation and the black market for in-game currency.
In addition to constructing mining enterprises, the player can erect buildings to recruit new heroes. Next, you will definitely need buildings for creating, improving and “alchemy” of skills and talents, as well as for the production of bottle jars that increase health and energy in combat mode. In secret in Nival we were told one interesting concept: in order to encourage people to develop several heroes at once, they will introduce the concept of “Reserve of Strength” – it will be spent in battle and during some actions in the castle. But there is a building here that will help us. "Bath"! We place a character in it, and he restores his strength at an accelerated pace, which allows him to go out onto the battlefield more often. As a result, the better developed your home is, the more opportunities for combat mode.
The construction itself is reminiscent https://mpbetcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ of advanced games from social networks, where it is customary to develop your own small settlement. The castle can be decorated, put houses in any place, paint them and make everything completely unique. That is, a castle can be either just a beautiful picture or a well-thought-out platform for upgrading combat and economic capabilities.
In addition to the fact that buildings serve a decorative function, they are also extremely important for the gameplay.
Happiness to one and all
One of the chips Prime World — a combination of different types of gameplay, designed for both casuals and seasoned hardcore players. Take, for example, construction. The simple and understandable process of strengthening the economy and forging the basis for future victories is unlikely to raise questions among those who have never heard of strategies and like relaxed (relaxed)?) everyday life in construction social “sims”.
Moreover, users who prefer one style or another can unite. Setting up a castle for two is what you need. So, a guy who is devoted to battles with other players can enter into an alliance with a girl who, with great pleasure, will take upon herself the construction of new buildings, nurturing heroes and preparing for future battles. Joint efforts will definitely lead to success, and this despite the fact that everyone will do exactly what he likes.
A small retreat. At his lecture at KRI 2011 Sergei Orlovsky talked about his company’s long-standing goal of getting men and women to play together. After all, going to the cinema together is fun, going to a restaurant is great. So why is playing together such a problem nowadays?? The wife scolds her husband, the girl scolds the guy. And while he is having fun, she is sulking and looking for other things to do. And the goal Nival, according to Orlovsky, – combine them.
Other elements also serve the cause of unification Prime World. In particular – mini-games. Have achieved success in architecture and strengthened the economy, want to get a taste of the tactical mode, but are not too eager to jump into battle right away? Welcome to the support team! While those who like to cut apart enemies on the battlefields are desperately trying to destroy the enemy’s base, take your favorite hero “into the field” and provide the team with an uninterrupted supply of scrolls and other bonuses. Where to get them? Get it at your local equivalent of the most popular Zuma! And once this mini-game is fully mastered, you can move on to battles.
And here again we remember the desire Nival bring boys and girls together. All heroes Prime World also divided into girls and boys. Moreover, this is not just a visual difference, but a difference at the balance level. Thus, female characters are more focused on survival, support and treatment, while among male characters “tanks” and killers predominate. However, this does not mean that when choosing a character of the weaker sex, you can, for example, only heal. Not at all. At the tournament held within the framework of the KRI 2011 Prime World, in which the StopGame command.ru won a box of beer, in the first battle I played as Krio (previously this character was called the Snow Queen). And took second place in the number of kills. So-and-so.
Five brave men go into battle
Now let’s take a little closer look at Tactical Mode. Moreover, at KRI 2011 we managed to give it a good try. But before you start reading this part of the material, I advise you to read the preview from IgroMir, where some aspects have already been described.
Cards in Prime World built on the same principle. Three passage lines from base to base and a vast space (mostly forest) populated by various monsters – prime suppliers. Yes, in Prime World no experience as such. There is prime – both experience and money at the same time – which can be spent either on consumables or on skills. Moreover, there is an interesting reverse dependence of levels on talents. Traditionally, as you level up, new talents become available to you, whereas in Prime World it’s the other way around: by purchasing additional abilities for prime, you grow your character in levels, thereby increasing all his characteristics.
You can only buy scrolls of teleportation and acceleration, bottles of energy and health, “wards” (items that make some area of the map visible) and… everything. There are no things here. Instead, players are given an ability deck that they create before battle. Something like a deck of cards from Magic the Gathering or Nivalov’s “Demiurges”. Talents can be divided into general and specific. General ones from the library can be given to any hero (they are mostly passive, but there are also interesting things like invisibility, area attacks, magic finishers and various auras), while specific talents belong only to specific heroes and, in fact, shape his gameplay. Interestingly, with the help of passive talents you can “tailor” your favorite character to different play styles, depending on his skills. For example, there is in Prime World "Pied Piper". His specific talents are AoE spell and monster control. These skills work on different character indicators and, accordingly, by inserting passive talents on some of these indicators, you can “train” the hero for a specific attack, changing his behavior on the battlefield.
In similar DotA games, there are situations when victory or defeat in a session depends on the presence of certain things (all other things being equal). If someone has collected some super cool artifacts, then that’s it, the enemy can surrender. IN Prime World there is no such thing. At the tournament within the framework of KRI 2011, we constantly won and quickly reached the enemy base. So what? We managed to destroy the main task only on the fifth attempt. Twice our squad was completely destroyed by the enemy, once we had to retreat. Yes, the enemy had lower levels, but that didn’t help us much. In similar projects, such as, for example, Heroes of Newerth, our team would have simply trampled our enemies in the tenth minute, since the score was approximately 17-2. IN Prime World everything can change in a couple of minutes. Is it good or bad – it’s too early to judge. For now I will say that this is definitely unusual.
The Nivalians are great. They figured out how to make an excellent platform where players of different genders and fans of different genres can get along wonderfully. And everyone will be equally interested. If the developers implement everything properly, then we will get great entertainment for everyone and even “for two”. Going to the cinema together is so old-fashioned!
